Macon Tracks Running Club

Today I ran the Huffin for Stuffin 5K in McDonough, Ga. It was a sunny day with a little breeze and around 38 when we started. The course was a loop so that was nice, but they were mean and had a HUGE hill at mile 2, just after the water stop. Was a lovely course and the race, what I thought would be 200-300 people, turned out to be somewhere around 1300! It was a crowded race most the way but I did a good run, 3.19 (nearly a tenth long) at 36:06.
Mile 1- 11:17
Mile 2- 11:22
Mile 3- 11:36 (not shabby after that hill!)
and my avg mile pace was 11:17 woot! ::does a happy dance::


This week has been good so far, I did 6.75 miles Tues and walked with Gene for 3.71 on Wed. Richard is off today and just working an hour or two on Friday. We went to eat at Golden Corral (us and MANY other people). It was gooood. I had some green beans, black eyed peas, catfish, small mash taters (No gravy!), big salad and a piece of pecan pie. Richard ate three plates full and sweets after hehe. We took a 1.5 hr nap and now gonna chill for the rest of the day.
