Macon Tracks Piedmont Sports Medicine Race Series, 2010

Start earning points now, and enjoy the bragging rights later!

Members are now eligible to compete in the Macon Tracks Piedmont Sports Medicine Race Series.

Points will be awarded based on how you place in your age group compared with other Macon Tracks Running Club members.  The 1st MTRC member in each age group will earn 20 points, the 2nd will earn 19 points, and so on.

Volunteers whose work precludes them from running (split callers, timers, finish line helpers, etc.) will earn 20 points.  Volunteers must e-mail Kerry within a week of the race to claim their points.  Limit of 20 points per race.

Members who pre-register will be eligible for $1 off their entry fee (or $5 off for the Bartram Forest race).  If you have a family membership, please check the member list to be sure all your family members are listed so that race directors will be able to verify your membership.

Points will not be awarded retroactively.  You must be a current member on race day to earn points.  Likewise, if your membership expires, you will not accrue points for races run after your membership expires (there will be a one-month grace period on this).  Memberships expire on the first day of the month listed on your newsletter mailing label and also on the website member list.  You must renew during that month to continue earning points and receiving an entry fee discount.  It's quick and easy to renew online.

A person's age group will be determined by his or her age on the date they first run a  series race.  Thus if the 1st series race you run is Run 4 Missions, and you are 49 on that day, you will remain in the 45-49 age group for the rest of the year for race series scoring purposes, even though you may later turn 50 and be competing in the 50-54 age group for races later in the year.  Standings will be updated each month.  Awards will be given at the end of the year to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall male and female and 3-deep in each age group male & female.  Age groups are as follows: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & over.

Have fun, and good luck!
