Georgia Golden Olympics
Warner Robins

This competition is open to ages 50 and older.  Events include track and field, 5Ks (run, walk, and race walk), swimming, cycling, and more.  Medals are awarded for each age category.  Not 50 yet?  Consider volunteering!

Run or Dye 5K
Macon

Runners will be treated to color splashes along the route and a huge “tint the sky” event after the race.  Proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters.  The event will be held at the Middle Georgia Regional Airport.  Use code RODBBBSHG10 to get $10 off the registration fee.

This race will be held at Liberty Baptist Church.  A percentage of the profits will benefit Jake Strickland's family.

Race for Education 5K, 10.2K, & 1-mile
Warner Robins, 5K at 8:00 a.m., 1-mile at 8:30, 10.2K at 9:00

This 5th annual race supports adult education programs in MGTC’s four-county service area.  The flat course starts on the Middle Georgia Technical College campus and winds through the Houston Commons area.  Part of the Run & See Georgia Grand Prix and Black Bag Race Series.

Dublin Walk/Run for Hope 5K, 10K, & 1-mile
Dublin, 1-mile at 8:00 a.m., 10K at 8:00 a.m., 5K at 9:30 a.m.

This race will be held at Laurens Baptist Association.  Proceeds benefit Promise of Hope, which provides spiritually based, structured residential care to victims of alcohol or drug dependency. Part of the Middle Georgia Runners for Christ series.

Flamingo Fest 5K
Macon, 9:00 a.m.

Celebrating breast cancer survivors and their families, this 1st annual race will be held at Wesleyan College.  The race benefits United in Pink.  The race features chip timing and there will be inflatables for kids.

Macon-Bibb Law Enforcement Foundation 5K, 5K Fitness Challenge & Pet Friendly Fun Run
Macon, 8:30 a.m. 

This race begins at the Law Enforcement Memorial on Mulberry St. in downtown Macon.  Please watch this demo video that includes an explanation of how the Fitness Challenge works if you'd like to compete.
Oct. 11 Run for the Rescue 5K
Milledgeville, 8:00 a.m.

This 2nd annual race will be held at the Tri County Shrine Club and benefits the Animal Rescue Foundation.  Participants receive long-sleeved cotton shirts and dogs are welcome.  Macon Tracks members receive $1 off the registration!  Part of the Run & See Georgia Grand Prix.

Nehemiah Men's Home
The Nehemiah Men's Home 5K
Byron, 8:00 a.m.

This 1st annual race will be held at North Peach Park in Byron.  Proceeds benefit the Nehemiah Men's Home, a recovery and transition home for men in middle Georgia struggling with addiction.  The race is part of the Middle Georgia Runners For Christ series and the Run & See Georgia Grand Prix.

Public Safety Day 5K & 1-Mile
Forsyth, 8:30 a.m.

This race is located at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center.  The race features dri-fit shirts.  It's presented by the Leadership Monroe Class of 2014 and the Forsyth-Monroe County Chamber of Commerce.

Get ready to run, jog or walk through the wooded George Peake and Ann Peake Cross Country Trail at First Presbyterian Day School.  This event is open to all FPD affiliates as well as the general public.

Stamp Out Poverty 5K Run/Walk
Gray, 8:00 a.m.

This 3rd annual run/walk in support of the Charity Benevolent Fund will be held at the Jones County Government Center.  It's part of the Runners for Christ race series.
Oct. 11 Presidential Inauguration Middle Georgia State College Presidential Inauguration 5K and Fun Run
Macon, 8:00 a.m.

This race benefits Middle Georgia State College Scholarships.  The race will be held at the college on a trail along a lake.

This race benefitting Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia will be held at the Hephzibah Children's Home.

This race will be held at First Baptist Church.  Proceeds benefit the Cochran-Bleckley Chamber of Commerce and Promise of Hope - Cochran Campus.  Part of the Middle Georgia Runners for Christ race series.

Jay's Hope Trek or Treat 5K, 10K, & Candy Mile
MaconThis 9th annual race will be held at Bass Pro Shops.  Runners of all ages are encouraged to run in costume.  Children under the age of 13 can trick or treat along the 1-mile course.  Proceeds benefit the Jay’s Hope Foundation, helping families with children who have cancer.  The Jay's Hope race is part of the Macon Tracks Piedmont Orthopaedic Complex Race Series and the Middle Georgia Runners for Christ Race Series.

Falling for the Arts 5K
Eastman, 9:00 a.m.

This race will be held at the Dodge County Courthouse and it benefits the Dodge Arts Guild.  Participants are encouraged to wear costumes and there will be a prize for best costume.  Plan to stay for the annual Fall for Dodge Fall Festival immediately after the race.

S.C.A.R.E. 5K & Costume Fun Run
Macon, 5K at 7:00 p.m., Fun Run at 6:15 p.m.

This event will be held at the Hephzibah Children's Home. The course will be lit with luminarias and there will be a live DJ.  The race features cash prizes, tech shirts, and inflatables for the kids, plus a costume contest for kids participating in the fun run.  Sponsored by Georgia Arrhythmia Consultants, proceeds from this event will be used to purchase AED's to donate to local community organizations.

For the Love of Little Paws 5K
Centerville, 7:30 a.m.

Proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Houston County.  The race will be held at Centerville City Hall.

Macon, 8:30 a.m.

This race will be held at Mt. de Sales in front of the new middle school and through the Mercer Campus.

Mercer Homecoming 5K
Macon, 8:00 am

Get ready to run, jog, walk, or sprint through the beautiful Macon campus in the 7th annual Mercer Homecoming 5K.  The race is open to everyone associated with Mercer as well as the general public.  Stay after the race and enjoy the Orange Pancake Breakfast with proceeds benefiting MDA.  This year the race features chip timing.

Ocmulgee Mounds 5K Run and 2.5K Walk
Macon, 8:00 a.m.

Proceeds from this 4th annual race benefit the interpretive and educational programs at the Ocmulgee National Monument Association.  Runners will travel a 5K paved path, passing the Great Temple Mound and returning after the Funeral Mound. Walkers will travel 2.5K along the beautiful shaded paths on a scenic, cross-country course.

This race will be held at Huntington Middle School and proceeds will be used to purchase instructional and technological materials.  All finishers will receive a medal.

This race is part of the annual Jones County Veterans Day celebration.  It will start and finish at the Jones County Civic Center.  Proceeds benefit the Jones County Veterans Memorial Fund.  Awards will be given to the 1st veterans to finish.

This race benefits the Alzheimer's Association and Service for Services.

Turkey Day 5K
Milledgeville, 10:00 a.m.

M.I.A. Food Bank's 2nd annual Turkey Day 5K will be held at the Greenway under the Milledgeville River Bridge.  Proceeds go towards feeding families for the holiday season.

Run through the Ocmulgee National Monument Indian Mounds on a scenic, cross-country course.  Enjoy racing through the woods like the Mississipian Indians did thousands of years ago.  Proceeds benefit Peacemakers, an organization that teaches life skills to children ages 8-13.  Go to www.pbwm.org for more information.

This 3rd annual race benefits the Ronald McDonald House, celebrating 12 years of providing care, comfort and hope for families of children receiving medical treatment in Central Georgia.  The race will be held at Tattnall Square Park.  It's part of the Macon Tracks Piedmont Orthopaedic Complex Race Series and the Run & See Georgia Grand Prix.

Proceeds benefit Laurens Baptist food & clothes banks, medical & dental clinics, and WinShape Camp.  Part of the Middle Georgia Runners for Christ Series.
Nov. 29 Picture Thomson Trails Half Marathon and Marathon
Macon, 8:00 a.m.

This low-key race will be a fun way for runners of all types to gather and burn off some Thanksgiving calories.  It will be a multi-loop course on trails in the spirit of the old Bartram Forest race.

Museum of Aviation 5K, Half-Marathon, & Marathon
Warner Robins, 8:00 a.m. marathon, 8:15 half marathon, 8:30 5K

This is an awesome race.  It's super well-organized by the Robins Pacers.  The USATF certified course is flat, the races are chip timed, and there's a distance for everyone.  Get a group of 10 to register together and everyone gets $3 off.  Part of the Macon Tracks Piedmont Orthopaedic Complex Race Series and the Run & See Georgia Grand Prix.
