Mar. 20th	Sweetheart Run for Sight 5K & 12K Centerville Galleria Mall, 8 am Run with someone you love this Valentine's Day St. Patrick's Day weekend. This is a rescheduling of the race after it got snowed out in February. Sponsored by the Centerville Lions Club. Part of the Macon Tracks Piedmont Sports Medicine Race Series and Run & See Georgia.
March 20th	Leprechaun Road Race 5K, 10K, 1-mile Dublin, 8 am fun run, 5K & 10K at 8:30 No race day registration. $15 entry ($50 family max) before March 19th. All events start and finish at Dublin High School. Both race courses are USATF certified and can be used as Peachtree Road Race qualifiers. Proceeds benefit children's charities.
March 27th	Gator-Go 5K Cancelled Macon, 9:30 am Mercer fraternity Kappa Sigma is organizing this third annual Gator-Go 5K to benefit the Military Heroes Campaign. Proceeds go towards providing shelter for the families of military hospital patients. The race will be held on the Mercer campus and surrounding areas. $15 before March 12th ($14 for Macon Tracks members), $20 on race day. Part of the Macon Tracks Piedmont Sports Medicine Race Series.
March 27th	Edge Fitness 5K Bonaire, 8 am Macon Tracks member and Edge Fitness General Manager Tracey Eubanks is organizing this inaugural race with proceeds benefiting the Ronald McDonald house. These donations will do everything from putting a roof over parents’ heads while their child is staying in a nearby hospital, to diagnosing scoliosis in a young child without access to health care and getting them the help they need. Pre-registration ends Mar. 20th and there is a $10 no-shirt option.
March 28th (Sunday afternoon)	Swamp Stomp 5K for Kaye Eatonton, 1-mile at 2:30 p.m., 5K at 3:00 p.m. Sponsored by Gatewood Schools and part of the Run & See Georgia Grand Prix. A family of 4 who registers before March 19th can run for $45, or take advantage of the $10 no shirt option.
April 3rd	Share the Path 5K and 1-Mile Dublin This race will be held at Laurens Baptist Association in Dublin and will be a cross-country race. Entry is free if you sign up before March 21. Entry does not include a t-shirt, but a commemorative t-shirt will be available for a donation of $15 or more. Proceeds from the race will be split between the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Summer Sports Camp in Laurens County and the Laurens Baptist Food and Cloth Ministry Centers.
April 3rd	Relay for Life 5K, fun run Cochran, 9:00 a.m. Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society’s 2010 Relay For Life of Bleckley County. The race will be held at Middle Georgia College. Cochran is about 38 miles south of Macon.
April 3rd	William's Walk With a Vision Fort Valley, 9:30-11:00 Not a race, but a way to support Macon Tracks member Roscoe Douglas, whose 5-year-old grandson has a genetic condition that causes a slow deterioration of sight. This 5K run/walk will benefit the Foundation for Retinal Research in their mission to find treatments and cures for retinal degenerative diseases. A finish line celebration, refreshments, & child friendly activities follow the walk. The event will be held at Lane Southern Orchards. If you don't want to register online, you can mail in a registration form.
April 10th	Perry Dogwood Festival 5K and 1-mile Perry, 8:30 am The 22nd Annual Perry Dogwood Festival 5K is part of the Run & See Georgia Grand Prix. Only $10 if you pre-register by April 7th, $15 on race day.
April 10th (afternoon)	Patty's Peach Pace 5K, 10.5K, & 1-mile Fort Valley, Fun Run at 1:30 pm, 5K at 2:00, 10.5K at 3:00 Benefits the Peach County 4H. The course is "a combination of dirt and paved roads through the peaches and pecans of Peach County." Part of the Run and See Georgia Grand Prix.
April 17th	Harness Festival 5K Hawkinsville, 8:00 am Hoofin' it in Hawkinsville! Start where the harness horses run, take a lap, then a challenging trot along the facility boundary and return for one more lap around the track. Proceeds benefit Pulaski County 4H. Race entry includes admission to the Harness Festival. Part of the Run & See Georgia Grand Prix.
April 17th	Houston County Bear Baseball 5K & 1-mile Warner Robins, 9:00 am 5K and 9:30 fun run This first annual race will be behind Houston County High School on a flat paved course. Proceeds benefit the players and facilities of Houston County High School Baseball. More information can be found at www.hocobaseball.org .
April 24th	Taylor County Race for Literacy 5K Reynolds, 8:00 a.m. Reynolds, Georgia is just 40 miles south of downtown Macon, west of Fort Valley. This 3rd annual race will benefit literacy programs in Taylor County. This is a Run & See Georgia race and part of the Macon Tracks Piedmont Sports Medicine Race Series. Bring your family and enjoy the Georgia Strawberry Festival events after the race.
April 24th	Christ School 5K & Fun Run Warner Robins, 8:00 5K, 9:00 Fun Run This inaugural race starts at Christ United Methodist Church. The course is mostly flat with just one small hill. Proceeds will go toward new computers and fitness equipment for the elementary school. Pre-registration ends April 16th.
May 1st	Run 4 Missions 5K & Fun Run Macon, 8:00 am 5K, 7:30 am Fun Run Home baked treats, free race photos, fabulous door prizes, great organization, friendly faces, a worthy cause, a nice out-and-back course on the loop where we run on Sunday- need I say more? Lance Merritt and the folks at Mt. Zion Church put their all into this race and it shows. $15 before April 28th and kids age 10 and under run for just $10. This race is a Macon Tracks Piedmont Sports Medicine Series Race and also part of the Run & See Georgia Grand Prix.
May 1st	Moonlight Miles 5K Macon, Saturday evening race Get ready to run, walk, jog, skip, or hop yourself silly as the 3rd Annual Moonlight Miles 5K race kicks off on May 1st. The route begins at Tatnall Square Park and runs through beautiful in-town Macon to Poplar Street and back to the park. This year the race will be held in conjunction with the 1st annual Macon Cycling Classic bike race.
May 8th	The Exchange Club Georgia State Fair 5K Macon Run the race, then enjoy the State Fair. All profits from Exchange Club activities go to local charities. This inaugural race will be part of the Macon Tracks Piedmont Sports Medicine Race Series. Stay tuned for more details.
May 8th	Madison in May 5K/10K Madison, 7:30 (5K), 8:30 (10K), 8:35 (1-mile) Enjoy a flat, fast, shaded course through Madison's antebellum Historic District. Part of the Run and See Georgia Grand Prix. Only $12 if you pre-register and forgo the shirt.
May 8th	Brentwood Scamper & Scoot 5K, 10K, & 1-mile Sandersville, 7:30 am (5K), 8:00 (10K), 8:15 (1-mile) Flat and fast through Sandersville subdivisions. Race begins at Brentwood School. No shirt, but only $12 to enter if you register before May 1st. Part of the Run & See Georgia Grand Prix. Sandersville is about 60 miles from Macon, east of Milledgeville.
May 15th	Old Capitol City Classic 5K & fun run Milledgeville, 7:30 a.m. 1-mile, 8:00 a.m. 5K Come run the 2nd annual Oconee Regional Healthcare Foundation 5K Run/Walk. The race course is an out-and-back beginning on the ORMC campus and run on paved streets nearby. Proceeds from the race will benefit the ORMC walking track improvement initiative. The race is part of the Run & See Georgia Grand Prix and a Macon Tracks Piedmont Sports Medicine Series Race.
May 22nd	Bare Bulb Coffee 5K Kathleen, 8:30 This 1st annual charity event will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, and Warner Robins Christian Service Center.
June 4th (Friday evening)	Day Lily Dash 5K & Fun Run Gray, 5K at 7 pm, Fun Run at 7:30 pm Try an evening race for a change of pace. Earn points in the Macon Tracks Piedmont Sports Medicine Race Series and in the Run & See Georgia Grand Prix also. The race begins at Gray Elementary School. Come back the next morning and enjoy the Day Lily Festival, with arts & crafts, food, pony rides, children’s activities, entertainment and daylilies for sale .
June 5th	Rock 'n Roll 10K Macon, 7:30 There is something for everyone this year at the Lake Tobosofkee Rock 'n Roll race. New this year, the Ortho Georgia Rock 'n Roll 10K, a pure running event. Now you have no excuse not to be there! Rock 'n Roll Half-Ironman, Sprint Triathlon, and Duathlon Macon (Lake Tobesofkee) The Coliseum Health System's Rock 'N Roll Man moves into its seventh year in 2010. After six very successful events, this year's Rock 'N Roll Man should rock harder than ever before. The sprint distance is great for newbies and kids. If you've never done a triathlon before, here's your chance!
June 5th	Torture Trail 10K & 1-mile Eatonton, 8 am No race day registration! This race has the best trophies of all time, special stained glass awards worth busting a gut for. In addition, the top 25 men and women will receive wind shirts and there is free ice cream for everyone. After the race, stay and enjoy the Putnam County Dairy Festival complete with arts and crafts and plenty of great food and fun for everyone. A Run & See Georgia Grand Prix race.
June 5th	Deep South XTerra 15K Trail Run Jackson, 8:30 The race will be held at Dauset Trails. The race will start in an open field (required for spacing) but will soon lead into the woods. The terrain is made up of a little bit of everything, rolling hills, climbs, single track, double track, roots, gravel and concrete drive along with some technical sections. The course is beautiful and offers something for every runner.
June 19th	Georgia Peach Festival 5K & 1-mile Fort Valley, 7:30 am, fun run at 8:15 This certified course is fast, flat, and scenic, taking you through the historic district of Fort Valley. $100 cash prize to 1st overall male and female. The race is part of the Georgia Peach Festival, and afterwards there will be free tasting of the world’s largest peach cobbler, open stage events, arts and crafts, food vendors, and more. June 19th	Celebration Swim Lake Juliette Elizabeth Jones is chairperson of this swim benefiting the Hospice of Central Georgia. This year there will be a competitive 1K, 3K, and 5K swim and a non-competitive swim, both of which will be held in the morning. Bonus: when you register for the event the Wellness Center will give you a FREE swim pass good from now until June 19th. Lake Juliette is a beautiful place to swim. If you're not a swimmer, consider sponsoring someone who is!
July 17th	Uptown Rotary Ocmulgee Adventure Race Macon, 7:00 am - 8:30 am Check in The Uptown Rotary Ocmulgee Adventure Race (U-ROAR) includes both a 4-hour sprint and an 8-hour extended adventure race to challenge both beginners and elites. Both races feature paddling, mountain biking, river swimming, and hiking/trekking with navigation throughout. You may race solo or in teams of 2 or 3, but only co-ed teams of 3 will be eligible for prize money. Proceeds go to the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail and other charities. Get your team ready and go find those checkpoints!
Sept. 6th (Monday)	34th Annual Macon Labor Day Road Race 5K/10K/Fun Run Macon, 7:30 5K, 8:00 10K, 9:15 am Fun Run This annual Macon Labor Day tradition features a fast point-to-point course, gender-specific wicking shirts, and a family-friendly atmosphere. For even more fun, enter the Parent/Child, Husband/Wife, or Team of 5 competition. Use your 10K time as a Peachtree Road Race qualifier for next year. Walkers are welcome to do the 5K. This is a Macon Tracks Piedmont Sports Medicine Series Race and also part of the Run & See Georgia Grand Prix.
Sept. 11th	Race for Camp Little Shot 5K Macon Directed by Elizabeth Jones, proceeds benefit Camp Little Shot, a free camp for children with diabetes. The awards are made by the children at camp and are always creative. Part of the Run & See Georgia Grand Prix and the Macon Tracks Piedmont Sports Medicine Race Series.
Sept. 22-25	Georgia Golden Olympics Warner Robins This competition is open to ages 50 and older and is a qualifier for the 2011 National Senior. Events include track and field, 5Ks (run, walk, and race walk), swimming, cycling, and more. Medals are awarded for each age category.
Oct. 2nd	City of Gordon's Fall Line Festival 5K 5K starts at 8am, Fun Run afterward. Stay after the run and enjoy free entertainment, a classic car show, arts & crafts, antique tractor events, activities for kids, food, and free birthday cake. This is a Run & See Georgia Grand Prix race and part of the Macon Tracks Piedmont Sports Medicine Race Series. $15 if you register before Sept. 17th.
Oct. 9th	Take Back the Night 5K & 10.5K Milledgeville, 8:00 5K, 9:00 10.5K Macon Tracks member Bonnie Murphey is organizing this 2nd annual race to benefit Baldwin County Solicitor General's "S.A.F.E. Program" for domestic violence awareness. There will be door prizes, music, awards for the high school and college with the most participation, and gift bags for overall and masters winners. Part of the Macon Tracks Piedmont Sports Medicine Race Series and the Run & See Georgia Grand Prix.
