Alana "Bug" Land Memorial 5K
Gray, 8:00 a.m.

This 2nd annual race is being organized by Macon Tracks member Thomas Goss to raise money for the family of Alana Land, a cross country runner who was killed in a car accident on Oct. 20, 2013.  The race will take place at Jones County High School.  Proceeds benefit the middle school cross country teams in Jones County.

Missions Possible 5K & Fun Run
Lizella, 8:00 a.m.

This 3rd annual race will be held at Lizella Baptist Church and proceeds will help raise money to send kids on mission trips throughout the world.  The course is out-and-back and fast.  Come out and enjoy a great race and homemade awards.  Part of the Middle Georgia Runners for Christ Race Series.

Josephine Harmon 316 Get Fit 4 Life Cancer Awareness Challenge
Lizella, 7:30 a.m.

This race will be held at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church and it's free.  Part of the Middle Georgia Runners for Christ Race Series.

Harmony Run for the Son 5K & Fun Run
Forsyth, 6:30 p.m.

Join First Baptist Church of Forsyth for an evening race to raise money for the Monroe/Forsyth Habitat for Humanity. The course will carry each runner by the Habitat Village which has several homes already constructed and occupied, with plans for 3 more to be added in the near future.  There will also be a carb-loading fund raiser supper on Friday, August 22 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.

Macon Labor Day Road Race
Macon Labor Day Road Race 5K, 10K, & Fun Run
Macon, 8:00 5K, 8:30 10K, 9:45 am Fun Run

The 38th annual Macon Labor Day Road Race features a fast point-to-point course, chip timing, gender-specific wicking shirts, and a family-friendly atmosphere.  The courses are USATF certified and can be used as a Peachtree Road Race qualifier for next year.  For even more fun, enter the Parent & Child, Husband & Wife, or Team of 5 competition.  There will be sno cones, cotton candy, inflatables, music and more at the park after the race, so bring the whole family.  This race is part of the Macon Tracks Piedmont Orthopaedic Complex Race Series and the Run & See Georgia Grand Prix.

Race for Camp Little Shot 5K & 2-Mile Walk
Macon, 9:00 am

Directed by Elizabeth and Tom Jones, proceeds benefit Camp Little Shot, a free camp for children with diabetes.  The awards are made by the children at camp and are always creative.  This year the race will feature dry-fit shirts.    Part of the Run & See Georgia Grand Prix and the Macon Tracks Piedmont Orthopaedic Complex Race Series.

Retro Night Glow 5K, 10K, & Fun Run
Macon, 1-mile at 7:45 p.m., 10K at 8:15 p.m., 5K at 8:30 p.m.

This 5th annual race begins at the Northway Church on Zebulon Road.  All proceeds benefit families affected by medical illness.  The race features chip timing and team competitions.  There will be an 80's band, black light dance party, kids' activities, fireworks, and cash prizes for costume contest winners.   Luminarias will line the course.  Part of the Middle Georgia Runners for Christ race series and the Run & See Georgia Grand Prix.

This competition is open to ages 50 and older.  Events include track and field, 5Ks (run, walk, and race walk), swimming, cycling, and more.  Medals are awarded for each age category.  Not 50 yet?  Consider volunteering!

Run or Dye 5K
Macon

Runners will be treated to color splashes along the route and a huge “tint the sky” event after the race.  Proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters.  The event will be held at the Middle Georgia Regional Airport.  Use code BBBSHG to get $10 off the registration fee.

Race for Education 5K, 10.2K, & 1-mile
Warner Robins, 5K at 8:00 a.m., 1-mile at 8:30, 10.2K at 9:00

This 5th annual race supports adult education programs in MGTC’s four-county service area.  The flat course starts on the Middle Georgia Technical College campus and winds through the Houston Commons area.  Part of the Run & See Georgia Grand Prix and Black Bag Race Series.

Flamingo Fest 5K
Macon, 9:00 a.m.

Celebrating breast cancer survivors and their families, this 1st annual race will be held at Wesleyan College.  The race benefits United in Pink.  The race features chip timing and there will be inflatables for kids.
Oct. 4 Macon-Bibb Law Enforcement Foundation 5K, 5K Fitness Challenge & Pet Friendly Fun Run
Macon, Fun Run at 8:00 a.m., 5K and Fitness Challenge at 8:30 a.m. 

This race begins at the Law Enforcement Memorial on Mulberry St. in downtown Macon.  
Oct. 11 Run for the Rescue 5K
Milledgeville, 8:00 a.m.

This 2nd annual race will be held at the Tri County Shrine Club and benefits the Animal Rescue Foundation.  Participants receive long-sleeved cotton shirts and dogs are welcome.  Macon Tracks members receive $1 off the registration!  Part of the Run & See Georgia Grand Prix.

Nehemiah Men's Home
The Nehemiah Men's Home 5K
Byron, 8:00 a.m.

This 1st annual race will be held at North Peach Park in Byron.  Proceeds benefit the Nehemiah Men's Home, a recovery and transition home for men in middle Georgia struggling with addiction.  The race is part of the Middle Georgia Runners For Christ series and the Run & See Georgia Grand Prix.

Stamp Out Poverty 5K Run/Walk
Gray, 8:00 a.m.

This 3rd annual run/walk in support of the Charity Benevolent Fund will be held at the Jones County Government Center.  It's part of the Runners for Christ race series.

Jay's Hope Trek or Treat 5K, 10K, & Candy Mile
Macon

This 9th annual race will be held at Bass Pro Shops.  Runners of all ages are encouraged to run in costume.  Children under the age of 13 can trick or treat along the 1-mile course.  Proceeds benefit the Jay’s Hope Foundation, helping families with children who have cancer.  The Jay's Hope race is part of the Macon Tracks Piedmont Orthopaedic Complex Race Series.

S.C.A.R.E. 5K & Costume Fun Run
Macon, 5K at 7:00 p.m., Fun Run at 6:15 p.m.

This event will be held at the Hephzibah Children's Home. The course will be lit with luminarias and there will be a live DJ.  The race features cash prizes, tech shirts, and inflatables for the kids, plus a costume contest for kids participating in the fun run.  Sponsored by Georgia Arrhythmia Consultants, proceeds from this event will be used to purchase AED's to donate to local community organizations.

Peacemakers 5K & 1-mile
Macon, Fun run at 8:30 a.m., 5K at 9:00 a.m.

Run through the Ocmulgee National Monument Indian Mounds on a scenic, cross-country course.  Enjoy racing through the woods like the Mississipian Indians did thousands of years ago.  Proceeds benefit Peacemakers, an organization that teaches life skills to children ages 8-13.  Go to www.pbwm.org for more information.

For the Love of Little Paws 5K
Centerville, 7:30 a.m.

Proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Houston County.  The race will be held at Centerville City Hall.
Nov. 8
Ocmulgee Mounds 5K Run and 2.5K Walk
Macon, 8:00 a.m.

Proceeds from this 4th annual race benefit the interpretive and educational programs at the Ocmulgee National Monument Association.  Runners will travel a 5K paved path, passing the Great Temple Mound and returning after the Funeral Mound. Walkers will travel 2.5K along the beautiful shaded paths on a scenic, cross-country course.

Warner Robins, 8:00 a.m.

This race will be held at Huntington Middle School and proceeds will be used to purchase instructional and technological materials.  All finishers will receive a medal.

Forsyth, Fun Run at 8:30 a.m., 5K at 9:00 a.m.

Proceeds from this 2nd annual race will provide basic resources to students in need at Mary Persons High School.

This 3rd annual race benefits the Ronald McDonald House, celebrating 12 years of providing care, comfort and hope for families of children receiving medical treatment in Central Georgia.  The race will be held at Tattnall Square Park.  It's part of the Macon Tracks Piedmont Orthopaedic Complex Race Series and the Run & See Georgia Grand Prix.
Dec. 13 Run for God – Warner Robins Run for God 5K & 10K
Centerville, 8:00 a.m.

This race will be held at First Baptist Church of Centerville and proceeds benefit Family Promise Of Greater Houston County.
